Mackay Chapman - Australasian Law Awards - Top Specialist firm 2025
We couldn’t be prouder of our team and thankful to our clients and the industry to announce that Mackay Chapman has been named by the Australalasian Law Awards as a top specialist firm for 2025.
The awards are presented to Law firms, in-house legal teams, lawyers, individuals and dealmakers from across the region and are recognition for their achievements and outstanding work.
Building Mackay Chapman over the last 6 years it was always our intention to create a genuinely client-focused law firm. Drawing on our experience at large firms and a focus on approaching every matter with the right strategy from the outset, we have built a firm that delivers on our intentions.
Reflecting on the past year, there have been some significant highlights including:
- We were able to secure a fair and reasonable settlement of $3.54 million for class action brought by victims of Melissa Caddick against SMSF auditors. In what was a highly complex case with multiple respondents. This matter brought significant media attention, including an interview on 60 Minutes.
- Mackay Chapman became the newest member of the Australian Litigation Funding Association (ALFA), highlighting our commitment to the funded litigation sector and contributing to industry development beyond direct legal practice.
- We secured many outstanding results for clients pursued by ASIC, the ATO and other regulatory bodies through our uniquely strategic approach to protecting our clients’ interests by prioritising how they think, feel and act, and channel that into our legal strategy and expertise.
Thank you to all our clients, referrers and friends of the firm for your support over the last 6 years. We look forward to continuing to serve you all and hopefully win more awards in the future!
